Pilots bound
for Tracy will find a 3,000-foot-long hard-surface runway
and two grass landing strips. The runway can accommodate
the big King Air 8-passenger prop plane, although the
airport is more frequently used by single-engine,
4-passenger planes.
Tracy is not
a controlled field; pilots come and go on their own. Fuel
is available. One hangar is designed primarily for
maintenance; eight individual hangars are available for
lease, overnight or long-term.
The airport
sponsors a fly-in breakfast - open to the public as well
as pilots - each year on Labor Day. Last year, 400
breakfasts were served. The airport is located adjacent
to Swift Park, with camping facilities.
Tracy Businesses
Lights and Beyond, boosts
southwest Minnesota's largest lighting showroom. They cater to the
individual homeowner as well as contractors. It is also the place
to go for that Americana touch or check out the original artwork done
on custom furniture pieces. The Antique Shoppe is located
on Craig Avenue (Hwy. 14), and has many treasures of all kinds.
Tracy is home to John's Drug,
a full-service pharmacy where Hallmark cards, photo finishing, gifts,
and designer fragrances are also available. A women's, children's,
and infants' store,

Greenwood Nursery can provide
you with plants, custom landscaping plans and professionally install

Summit Place is an eclectic
gift store with wedding gifts, Willow Tree Angels, crystal, clothing

Tracy Computers

Hardware can provide you with lumber and hardware
of all sorts to help you fix what's broken, and build

Tracy has a nice range of eating establishments,
from Thelma & Louise's Bar & Grill
and Red Rooster Restaurant, to fast food at Dairy
Queen, Subway, and Casey's.
Tracy Bakery has added a wonderful menu of soups, sandwiches,
salads and wraps, served from 6:30 a.m. - 7 p.m. Monday through Saturday.
